Mother's Day Brunch
Anybody have a suggestion for a good Mother's Day brunch? Nothing too elaborate (or expensive) but serves enough for two teenage boys (human refridgerators). East end or downtown.

Cora's is the ultimate breakfast. If you want something a bit nicer try the Empire Grill....I may be your waiter.

There is a place in the Market, not sure of the name, its been a while. Mother Huburds I think. Anyway it's Mother something or other. It's a really good and big buffet.

We have been going to the Chateau Laurier for MDB. Not cheap, but the quality of the food is much, much, better than any other brunch I've been to in Ottawa.

I second the vote for Cora's. As a fellow human refridgerator, I can say that it is definitely a filling meal. Not that expensive, but lots of choice, and everything comes with a tonne of fresh fruit. They have locations on St. Joseph and St. Laurent. The only thing is, you will probably have to be prepared to wait, especially on Mother's Day (not sure if they do reservations)

C'mon guys. It's Mother's Day!! Cora's is one small step removed from having Ronald MacDonald sitting beside you. Total chaos & pick up your own food. It's not even a brunch (guessing he means Brunch-Buffet?).
Try the local golf-courses!! My 80+ in-laws love the Brunch at the Amberwood GC just outside Stittsville. Excellent food, service, selection & prices. Plus you're overlooking the 9th green.

Capone's East has a banquet facility where they have a big mother's day brunch, two sittings - 10am and 1pm.

Sam Snead's at the Chateau Cartier is not bad. Good brunch and less expensive than the Westin or Chateau.

The request was for an inexpensive brunch, so I suggested Coras. If you want to mave Momosas, prime rib, etc...Merlots is fantastic. It is usually $30-35 per person but the view is priceless and the food is top shelf. So for you stats majors, there is my high and low.
BTW you do not pick up you own food at Cora's, it is a bit chaotic, bit I still love the place IMO.
