Summer tires
I need to put some new summer tires on the wife's car and I'm looking for something that looks good and doesn't hyroplane in the rain.
Anyone have any suggestions for good tires and best place to buy them?

If you are in the ottawa area.. head to parker auto care on Clyde & laperriere (just south of carling)... he's good and he'll have suggestions for tires based on your wifes car. Really good guy too

Not sure what size you need, but here are some general suggestions (three season and/or summer) that are known for giving good performance for the buck:
Falken Ziex ZE512
Kumho ASX
BFG Traction T/A
Try asking Mort in the Tire section at http://www.cartalkcanada.com

I was having the same issues with hydroplaning and found that going with a unidirectional tread has really improved traction in the wet. Most brands offer this type of tread, so you may want to take a look at these, cheers

Thanks for the suggestions everyone - finally decided on Michelin Hydroedge - seemed like the best compromise of price and performance to me.
