Some good points made during the game tonight. Primarily, just how many minutes lecavelier played in the first two periods. Perhaps the Bolts just got tired out? With Ottawa playing four solid lines, I have to think that the fourth periods will continue to serve Ottawa well at this rate.

I think I chewed most of my nails off in the first two periods...
Sigh!
On another positive note, so far tonight I think I have 10 points in the hockey pool!Last edited by rezadue; 04-21-2006 at 10:11 PM.

Looked to me that Tampa gave it all they had and that lasted almost two full periods. Ottawa turned it on with minutes left in the second and thewhole third. Emery kept us alive in the first and second. I dont cant see them keeping close either. Our forth line was better than their second line

Can anyone who saw the game on tv please comment on Chara's penalty in the first (created the 5-3)? From what I saw, it was Chara being big and even the announcers on BOB said the same thing. This resulted in Tampa's first and only goal, and having not seen the highlights yet was that in fact a penalty?

Chara's stick was above his own shoulder.
Anyway, you all have me to thank for that game. After the second period, I came to the conclusion that if I continued to watch this game Ottawa would just break my heart. So I turned OFF the tv. It appears that as soon as I stopped watching, the Sens started playing.Donny Vantage NFL Guru, since 1974

The Sens were definitely focused and didn't get rattled being down one goal going into the 3rd.
Emery too was focused, to say the least. Go Sens Go.

Great game for the Sens. Nice to see they could pull it out in the third. Anyone see Emery during the anthem with is head in the net? Looked a little silly not to mention disrespectful.

Another plus for Ottawa is that it looks like the Detroit Edmontson series is going to be a long one, and if the odds play out, that will be the championship series. Hopefully the Wings get worn down and their crucial veterans start feeling the effects. That's probably too long-term to really consider right now, but who knows, it could be a factor.

I wouldn’t float too high guys. Tampa dominated the first two periods and if it wasn’t for bad breaks, couple of posts and fanned shots It could have been 3-zip before the third. Tampa’s transition was unbelievable in the fist 2. Ottawa didn’t seem be able to get anything going past the blue.
Emery did not seem that sharp in the first 2 but he did manage keep the Sens in “come-back” position. That’s what they need from him and hope this game gives him even more confidence.

Unfortunately I did not see it as we got the Edmonton game out here in Victoria. Darn detroit being in the Eastern time zone...screws everything up.
