Where to get clubs appraised
Would anyone know where I can go to get some 'vintage' clubs that were hand made at Old St. Andrews appraised. Unfortunately they have been 'refinished' by someone but they are still the old hickory shafts and the old leather wrapped grips. The brass soles are all stamped with the St Andrews logo, date made, some sort of 'serial number' and type of club.
Any advice would be appreciated.Proud member of the 2009 OG/TGN Ryder Cup Champions

ST ANDREW GOLF OC (the 'C' in OC coulg be a G, S or 5 again, in script)
On the soft lead sole plate and again, dificult to distinguish some of the characters because they are each individually stamped into the lead:

At the bottom of the plate there is the picture of I believe a 'running deer' with what looks like REG'D stamped over top and STAG stamped underneath the pic.

So the running stags mark starts in 1910, all very interesting you should def. email these people.
Seems to be the St. Andrew Golf Co. They had different clubmakers make their clubs.Last edited by little brit; 04-07-2006 at 05:06 PM.
