Question Where to get clubs appraised

Would anyone know where I can go to get some 'vintage' clubs that were hand made at Old St. Andrews appraised. Unfortunately they have been 'refinished' by someone but they are still the old hickory shafts and the old leather wrapped grips. The brass soles are all stamped with the St Andrews logo, date made, some sort of 'serial number' and type of club.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

I will post some as soon as I take them! (have to dig them out of the storage boxes in the basement, which is full of clutter!)

Here are the 'markings' on each club, Pics to follow Monday:

On the top painted into the wood:

SYNCHROMETRE(The 'S' could be an 'L' because it is in script)
ST ANDREW GOLF OC (the 'C' in OC coulg be a G, S or 5 again, in script)

On the soft lead sole plate and again, dificult to distinguish some of the characters because they are each individually stamped into the lead:

    DRIVER
    Hand made in Scotland
    Weight: 13 oz
    Model: 19
    Series: D

At the bottom of the plate there is the picture of I believe a 'running deer' with what looks like REG'D stamped over top and STAG stamped underneath the pic.

    SPOON
    Hand made in Scotland
Weight: 13 oz (to the side there is a .4 and r )
    Model: 19
    Series: C
at the bottom of the plate there is the picture of I believe a 'running deer' with what looks like REG'D stamped over top and STAG stamped underneath the pic.

    BRASSIE
    Hand made in Scotland
    Weight: 13 oz
    Model: 19
    Series: D
at the bottom of the plate there is the picture of I believe a 'running deer' with what looks like REG'D stamped over top and STAG stamped underneath pic.

So the running stags mark starts in 1910, all very interesting you should def. email these people.
Seems to be the St. Andrew Golf Co. They had different clubmakers make their clubs.

I tried to upload them but they are too large. Max size allowed is 100 and they are each in the 850 range! I may be an IT guy but not a computer geek! LOL

ROFLMAO.... I will leave that one alone.... but I really do appreciate your research lady! I already heard back from the first one that SharkHark gave me..... he said 'they ain't hickory shafts, they are metal with plastic over them' .... (I don't think thats true but hey, what do I know, may try and light one in fire tonight to see!) He says they would easily sell on ebay but he didn't need them (I wasn't trying to sell them) It would appear that if I want to insure them the value would be approxiamtely $1000. (not worth the cost of insurance!)

Thanks again, and I am still waiting for responses from your 2 contacts!

I got answers back from all 3 of them now. They said without seeing the actual club in their little hands they can't tell for sure but the values ranged from $100. each to $1500. each.... I like the later much better

Thanks again Brit. I think I will hold onto them for about 120 more years and then they might be worth some serious money

The one that was low said they were steel shafts covered with some type of plastic, I checked last night and they are definitely not steel and plastic..... they are wood..... Actually, there is a club in Ottawa that wants to buy them to spruce up the display at the club house.... thats why I wanted them appraised

Thanks again LB ......... the beer is on me if we play this summer
