    Two putters

Is carrying 2 putters in your bag legal? Just curious.

That's what I was thinking too. I read an article on how the belly putters were better for short/medium putts and the short putters were better for long putts. Not that I would carry 2 putters but its an option.

Sure it is. Carry 14 of them if you like. I used to carry a left handed putter to settle the yips on short putts. Of course I had to take something else out of the bag (depended on the course).

my belly putter is deadly from 15 feet in. Its a little sketchy from 15 feet out and I'm actually carryin two putters this year. I'm just experementing with putters right now. Most likely I will end up with a voodoo dadddy centre shafted 45" belly and a 35" voodoo dadddy. I don't carry 14 clubs so why not

Putt with the short one. Use the long one for measuring relief.

Some golfers carry 4 wedges so why not carry two putters?

Notah Begay III carried two putters - a RH one for right-to-left putts and a LH one for left-to-right putts:

Same reason I carry two drivers. A 45 inch one for use on holes that curve left or right or are straight. I also have a 70 inch one for...er..ahem...measuring.

Caught ya!!! Maximum length for a driver is 48". Your serious breach is being reported to the commish as you read this. But just think how much more relief we could get if this were permitted.

Now, as putters do not have to comply with the 48" rule, why not have a 70" putter for measuring?

    Just weld a putter-head to a flag-pole.
