Stonebridge
Would like to play Stonebridge Monday however would like to hear about the conditions.
Anybody play there yet? Some people are like Slinkies... they're really good for nothing, ... but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs...

Depends on how busy they are. I could ask, but I won't be able to. Would be nice though.

Maybe I could start a bidding war between you and Trevor for the bag....
Besides which a Taylor Made bag does not really go with Titlist clubs!!!
Yeah, it was really cool of them to let us play another 9. That did not go too well either. All day my tempo was off. My backswing was too fast which really screws me up and I kept looking up to see where my ball was going, so I ekpt topping the ball.
I just got a couple of lucky drives off and one of those happened to be in front of you guys. Thank god I did not get too embarassed.

hi everyone i'm new to the forum as i just started to really take up golf this year. i'm playing at champlain on sunday and curious of the condition and if they're allowing they're gas carts on the course yet, as i know if its too wet most places won't.

Lichty, welcome to the nuthouse, lol. Hopefully someone will have course conditions at Champlain.
As for the Meadows, it's in great shape. Aeration holes are still visible, but do not affect the putts, no matter what Pops says. The greens have been cut and a green dye in the fertilizer has made them all Augusta green A little frost delay this morning, but it warmed up nicely! It could be that the purpose of your life is only to serve as a warning to others.

I took a look at the greens an hour ago, they are beautiful, should be in great shape for when they open this week.

I am abidextrous, I once golfed right-handed and now I shoot left-handed just as badly!

Played Pakenham today - much better shape than last year upon opening but still pretty wet. Greens looked like they wintered well, as did most of the fairways, but the course wasn't nearly as dry as Prescott or Manderley when they opened.

Played Casselview on Wednesday-greens were pretty good--in fact real good figuring the date --fairways pretty soft on some places but well worth 25.00---to bad they overbook though---30 minutes late on tee-time but what the hell, I am retired!

Played Meadows East - West
The course is in good condition; lots of dead grass throughout like most places which is expected. It's dry compared to most it's not very wet I didn't plug anything. The greens are in excellent condition some of the best I"ve seen this year.
Played East - West; the course plays well unfortunately I didn't!

You must have been behind us today as we played east/west also.
A little on the WINDY side as some us were hitting driver off the tee on no.7 west.
And yes they do have excellent greens on opening weekend. Best public greens in the city, especially for a tournament course.
We'll be back tomorow for some more abuseI've spent most of my life golfing .... the rest I've just wasted"

Stonebridge update
Played this morning.
Most of the fairways had at least some area that was wet and spongy.
The greens still had evidence of aeration but were rolling true. A little slower than normal as well. No evidence of winterkill anywhere that I could see.
Overall, excellent conditions for this time of year.

Sounds like most courses are ahead of expectations and winter kill all over the region is at a minimum! This is great news for all!

Out of the 11 in our three goups there were 5 of us who hit drivers.
Good thing was I hit the green. Short of the hole but on the greenI've spent most of my life golfing .... the rest I've just wasted"

Emerald Links
Emerald Links is now open. Haven't played it yet but it looked to be in decent shape from what I could see as I was driving by.
