I was told to get the fujikara vista tour stiff, firm tip, 65g, low torque, 43.5" shaft

Just thought I would share the experience with you guys. Don is a really nice guy. I will def. go see him again next year after my lessons this year. Swing speed will get higher as I continue to lose weight and strength train and work on flexability. He is very knowledgeable and friendly. A friend of mine went to see him yesterday but his swing wasn't consistent enough (not that mine is) so after testing him he said he would test him again for free after a few lessons to correct some simple mistakes. Good guy!

What were the six drivers and what shafts were in them? You tried 6, so tell us the set up of 1-6. Oh yeah, how much did it cost you?

these are for the adams rpm 11*fujikara 60g shaft. I tested 4 drivers, one was complete garbage cause the shaft was to soft. The others were drivers he gave me (these are with my driver) but they didn't suit me either but the numbers were pretty much the same. The stiffer shaft with more firm tip played best. It gave me an extra 7 yards and going down 1* to 10* eliminated a lot of the back spin so I didn't have any ballooning ball flight but was off centre alot more

Interesting numbers. If, numbers 1 to 6 represented the average results of drivers with 6 different shafts, I wonder which one golfers would choose?

#1 has a swing path of 6* from the outside and a face angle of .9* closed and the ball slices 13 yards to the right. This makes sense as the face is open to the path, putting slice spin on the ball. With #3 the path is again 6* from the outside with a more open face of 2.3*. This should mean that the ball slices even more to the right than #1. But, the numbers show that the ball ends up 17 yards to the left. How can this be?

What the numbers mean to me is that: (1) I would work on learning how to swing from the inside. (2) I would not buy a driver based on these numbers until I did, because my ball flight characteristics would change enough if I learned as 3* inside path, versus a 6* outside one.

Do the numbers ever lie? In what ways can they be misinterpreted? I would like to hear others opinions on the chart.

I'm looking at my numbers from my session with Don, and will comment on one figure.... "Off Line". At first glance, my average of 10 shots is a +0.7 "off-line". Sounds good, but not really. The average is just that, an average. As I too have the dreaded outside to inside swingpath, some of my shots are pulls, some end up straight and some are slices. 6 were +/- 12 yards from center, the worst pull was -22 and one big slice was +42 yards. It's a good reflection of my on course tee-shots.
My point is don't put too much on the overall average. Look for the 1 or 2 numbers that may skew things.

The only REAL test would be to take all of those drivers once again and take them to outside driving range for the MOST ACCUARTE and TRUE results. Since Thotho did not mention but where all the heads of the drivers the exact same (same make and model ) to be. If they were not then there can be NO Accurate way of fitting a individual for a "SHAFT", but people do like "toys" to be used on them to say look at my numbers. Just a thought......how did people get fitted before there was toys....Any ideas.

    Beuno

In my opinion and only mine..the only way to get fitted 100% is going outside to see the Ball Flight ( launch)..the Ball Path ( R to L..or L to R ) and the variance from centre. If there was a "TOY" it should be used to find the total Carry distance of each since there is no Sign that appears when you hit the ball on the range and it lands and flashes..265.280.225 etc etc..

hey guys, those are not averages. They are 6 shots with the driver I hit the best. I came late to the appointment and wasn't really feeling it so didn't really do a full test but he did make some recomendations.

    Here, the details.

The detail for the #3 shot. Because the impact zone is on the toe. The computer software interprets this shot as the pull shot if the swing path is from out-to-in.

    Money Grab

Just goes to show you how accurate the commercial priced monitors really are.By the way Mr. thotho, the Vista Tour that was recommended for you via this magical machine, did you actually hit it @ 43.5", and if so what were the numbers ? Just curious.
