    AMF Clubs

    Hi everyone.
My name is Ramiro, It is my first post in the forum and I am writting from Argentina.
I have a question for you....
I have started to play six months ago and now I have Handicap 29. Until now I was sharing the clubs with my father but I think the time to buy my own clubs has arrived.
Maybe, buying directly a callaway or ping set could be too much for my level so I was thinking about an AMF clubs set. What do you think? Does someone has experience using this clubs?

    Thanks

    Hi Ramiro
First let me welcome you to the Ottawa Golf Forum where you will find lots of interesting posts on golf, golf clubs and everything else that is part of the game of golf.
I did a search for the AMF Clubs you mentioned and came across them on a dealer site located in USA.
Have you look on ebay for clubs? You can purchase some really good used irons, drivers etc off ebay.
Since I do not know how well you play it is hard to suggest clubs for you.
However if you are fairly new to the game you should play with cavity back irons, as they are much more forgiving on mis hit shots. Irons like the TaylorMade 200's are fairly inexspensive now on ebay and they are a very good set of irons. I own a set and I really like them.
Here is a listing for TaylorMade 200 irons on ebay

For a driver you should look for something with a loft between 10.5 and 13 degrees. Depending on how fast your swing is will decide whether you need a stiff or regular flex shaft.
Check ebay out, see what you can come up with for clubs on there. Many sellers ship world wide.
Good Luck, come back and let us know how you make out.
    Rick
