No. 11 at Arnprior. I pity anyone who can put tons of spin on the ball. Your ball will be going for a swim.

At least if you play it in April you can walk down the concrete wall to get your ball.

Wow, I'm having a hard time thinking of one... It's been a loooooooooong winter!!!!!! That little pitch and putt at the Canadian, I think it's hole 10. I just think it's a ridiculous hole.

I'd also nominate any hole at Gatineau in July or August (when it's dry).

I'll nominate the back 9 ... especially the par 4 you can hit w/ a 5 iron ...NCGT Ryder Cup Team Green (06,07,08)

I have to say that 18 at nation is dumb. A 56* wedge for a finishing hole is not much of a signature hole IMO.
Number 18 on Island at Pakenham. This is a strange hole with no danger off the tee. Hit a good drive and you have a 5 iron into a green that has a huge backstop. The layup point if 100 yards away, so it would be driver, 56*, 60*. The hole has no creativity.
One of my favourite hoels strangely enough is number 10 at Heritage. A bit gimmicky, but a good long iron shot can put you on in two, or a slight miss hit could be OB, or ion the water.

Used to be no 9 at Tecumseh where you had to play ar par 3 over the passing cars in the main entrance with cars roaring by on avenue St-Louis. But they made some improvements last year.
No I still consider the up-hill par 3 at Montebello (I think it's no9) to be a Mickey-Mouse design. If you bury my ashes on a golf course, just make sure that they are out of bounds, that will be a natural continuation to my life

One more for the list ...
Rideau Glen ...
oh, and if I had to pick just one hole it would be #14...Par 4's that can be hit with a 8 iron are bad design.NCGT Ryder Cup Team Green (06,07,08)

how about the horse shoe green at glenmar? It just doesn't make sense to me (I think its the 18th). I drove the green once (wind at my back)... I was soooo happy. Over the small stream, if you can call it that, bounced once and onto the right side bottom of the green... I get there and the hole is cut on the left side of the green and here was a bunker between me and the hole. I was going to putt it up the bend of the horse shoe and then putt down to the hole but figured what a waste of a great drive and a waste of one shot and at the time I was going for my personal best (had never shot in the 80s at that time), so I decided...I'm going to go chip it over the bunker. I hit it pretty thin and ended up in the sand trap beacuse I didn't want to go over the green either. Then, in the bunker, not wanting to hit it to hard and go over the green I take a half ass swing at it and it stays in the bunker. Then, I hit it hard enough to get out and it flies over the green and into the grass. So from there I pitch it back on about 15 feet from the cub and two put for a 7 on a hole I should have been putting for eagle on. All I needed to do was do was shoot par for a 88 ended up with a 91...

#17 at Outaouais. Any teebox consisting of astro-turf, is an utter embarassment.

Any hole with a blind approach shot. Does not make sense.

For me, it might be number 10 ( i believe), at Chateu Cartier. nice dog leg left with some water, the greens up the hill. The green is about 10 yards deep, tops, so anything long ends up in the woods. It's such an elevation change, that it's next to impossible to hit anything that will actually come down and stick. Ruins a perfectly nice hole.

I have a friend who says, with some justification, that I've never "met" a golf course that I didn't like. That's generally true. So you can imagine that I don't enjoy dissing any course. Howerver, for the 10th hole at Falcon Ridge I'll make an exception. It may be that some will find joy and pleasure in its design. For my part, I find it nearly unplayable in the middle of summer. There is really no suitable place to land a tee shot and the tee shot on that hole is critical. Lest anyone think that I have never been able to par this hole, I have. In fact, I've birdied at least once through sheer luck. All that notwithstanding, I still think that the hole deserves an unequivocal thumbs down.
