    Chateau cartier

Encouraging sign, I saw they have taken the snow off the greens today.

Good sign, until we get another dump of that dreaded white stuff that puts us back to square one.

I noticed that too, same goes for Champlain, but not Gatineau.

I doubt that Gatineau will even open anytime soon. The city is building a Public pool on the holes just along Aylmer Road and I've seen some activities on number 11 as weel (large bulldozed area). Maybe they will be reinventing golf and will offer only 15 holes!

From what I have heard the Gat is only opening as a 9-hole this year and only until August. They are building a new 18, reusing some of the existing land, part of the range and some new space. Supposedly a championship 18 holes playing out at 7000+ yards.

I noticed that too, the two road holes are gone (14 and 15) I believe. You say 11 as well, that hole used to give me fits with its two water hazzards, 15 is a tough one for me too as I have never made it onto that green in one, just too long for me, will be sad to see 14 go though, a very short par 4 (albeit with a tiny green).

Ah, I heard rumblings of this too, is it confirmed? Are they keeping some of the existing holes? or redoing the whole thing? My Mother-in-law will be upset (that it is closed for some of the year), she lives very close to that course and plays it very often. I use the driving range quite a bit too, so will have to find a new place to hit balls and swear.

Still, once the new course is down it should be pretty sweet.
