topping the ball
Last season i saw steady improvement in my game through the early part of the year to where i was down to an 8 handicap from a 17 but by the mid part of the season i found my game going down slowly to where i finished the year at a 9. (i know its not a huge drop but you never like to go backwards). Over the winter i decided to buy a momentus to try and keep my swing in shape over the winter. It felt like it was really improving my swing, but when i went out to the range for the first time today i found myself topping all my iron shots. when i got good contact the ball went further than ive ever hit it and straight but that was only maybe 1 in 4 shots. i hit my woods beautifully aswell but i thought maybe thats because your supposed to hit them on the upswing anyways. I'm not sure what to do. any ideas?

I say don't sweat it. If you are a single digit handicap, you will work out the kinks and stop topping it soon. But without seeing your swing I would think that by using the momentus so much and because its a shorter club, that you are not staying down through the shot.
