    The ho scale

    The club ho scale:

    3 seperate classes of ho's
Class A=The collector, one who buys as much as he or she can, simply to store.
Class B=The player who relies on new models/technology in hope of improving his/her score.
Class C=The player who cant resist the allure of shiny new gear, thus never making it out to the course.
    Which class are you?

I would say i am a Class C. Although i have done nearly 60 transactions since the last round of golf, i have never owned more than 17 clubs at any given time.

    I'm a C Class with a splash of A Class ...

Generally just have things catch the eye, but I am a bit of a collector when it comes to putters and wedges aswell.

Unquestionably Class A... hence the reason I have 4 club display racks...
One caveat though, I actually play all mine.
The opinions expressed in this post are mine and may not necessarily reflect the opinions of others on OG.

What about the ho who is never happy unless they are constantly switching clubs in and out of their bag? I'm sure we could come up with many more classes of ho if we put our minds to it.

And I think Golfbum created his own class of ho:
    The Shed Club Ho.

HEY HEY, I only have one set of "SHED IRONS" But I think I saw another set buried in the pile that I might be interested in looking at! I just didn't feel like digging through 20 other sets to get to them.
I am still looking for those Walter Hagen Ultradynes
The thing is, I have less than the price of a new driver tied up into 3 sets of irons.
So I would put me in CLASS D. Cheap Club Ho
You have not experienced club shopping until you have been in "THE SHED"

And also because you have three other bags. Bag hog!

But it wouldn't be the first time I've done a deal for "Future considerations". Ask Reid, its a common occurrence between him and I.

And look, my 5000th post! Yeah me!

I'm unfortunately a class B. However I don't consider myself a Ho as once I have good stuff I won't change. Unlike some

Hello, my name is Rick and I am an EX CLUB HO I feel that I have kicked my addiction to Club Ho'ing.

I now own two sets of irons, my everyday play irons and a set of nice forged blades. I am down to one back up driver, one back up putter. I honestly believe that every dedicated golfer should own at least one set of back up irons, one back up driver and one extra putter. (In case you toss one of the clubs in a pond )

I would like to Thank Club Ho's Anonymous, St Thomas Chapter for helping me kick my addiction to HO'ing. I feel far better now that I know I am not longer addicted.

Now if I can stay out of "THE SHED" I will be fully cured!

You can rant and rave all you want about how you've kicked the habit, but you know very well you never get cured. Once a ho, always a ho! That sir is a fact. BTW, you own more clubs than I do. So I guess that makes you worse than me and I don't even claim to be cured of this dreaded disease. I don't own a back up anything. What's in the bag is all I have, so there.

Sir I have been cured. My Ho'ing is like my smoking, I no longer partake in either for health reasons
Besides, my Grinders are not really back up irons, they are collectors items Plus we all know the only reason you have one set of sticks right now is because you are building a new house! Once that is done and you are moved in you will fall right back into your old habits.

You are like a crack addict, you will need a hit sooner or later!

Mark me down as an "A" type (big time!!!) I still have every club I've ever played with except for maybe 2 sets of irons that people of bought from me. I know that I have over 300 clubs stored throughout 4 floors of my house.(I am so ashamed, but I still keep checking for certain clubs on e-bay.)
