March Madness
I'm not sure how many people follow this, and/or like to participate in pools, but I've set up a March Madness Pool at http://www.myrtlebeachgolftalk.com/M...0/Default.aspx

Having been an ncaa fan for 20 years now, I can tell you that you're just as likely as me to win a pool. Upsets always happen, and imo this tournament represents the best basketball for tv of the year.

I agree. Good tv drama. I do know a little but not enough to go out on a limb and be able to predict game by game. I picked the 4 top seeds, and didn't stray too far outside the top 6 per bracket. Made sure to spread out the picks evenly, 4 per region. Let the tourney start.
Colby, is there any way we can see who everyone picked? I know it doesn't matter, but just for fun."A life lived in fear of the new and the untried is not a life lived to its fullest." M.Pare 10/09/08

just joined the group as well. Did some research, but like Sakuraba said, the chances of upsets are huge, so luck is just as good sometimes!

The most fun with this is the weighting of the seeds. For example, if a #2 seed wins a round, they get points, not only for the round, but for their seed number, or 2 additional points for every win. If a #16 seed wins a round, they get an additional 16 points for that win!It could be that the purpose of your life is only to serve as a warning to others.

Yeah, but a 16 has never beaten a 1 seed. But a 15 has beaten a 2 before. But I know enough that looking at the brackets this year I think you'll only see a few minor upsets (10 beating 7, 9 beating 8) and the like. The three top seeds in each bracket are pretty strong. But that's why they play the games, anything can happen. I already feel myself going mad, all for a box of golf balls.

Love March Madness, don't follow the NCAA near as much as I use too. (the wife and kids thing). Love the fact these guys make mistakes and they play from the heart. I remember way back when taking in some first round games down in Syracuse. Sweet.
I'll give the pool a go.

Hey Colby, how is the pool coming along. Just tried the link and it doesn't work for me. Could you give me a bit of an update. Where do I stand in enie-menie-miny-moe (sp? ) method of selection?

As you can see I know nothing about NCAA b-ball. Oh well it was fun. Hopefully one of the local boys (covanant or davevandyk) can bring it home for Ottawa.
