Anyone played there recently- is it as good as it looks?

Yes it is. Very lush and soft too. No shortage of water there. It is in great shape.
Eagle Creek will close for the season Oct 15. Right after Thanksgiving.

I've been to Ottawa a couple of times in the past year, but only had a chance to play a round once. It was at Eagle Creek in Dunrobin and was early in the season.
It was a little windy and cool that day, but I thoroughly enjoyed my round. It was absolutely wet and soggy, but the setting is georgeous. Number 18 is a terrific hole that "somewhat" reminded me of a number of popular holes on the PGA Tour (18 at Sawgrass Stadium and 18 at Pebble). Hey, a guy can dream...

Coincidentally, the course happened to be Todd Fannings home course (CPGA). Todd is from Winnipeg, Manitoba (where I currently reside). Unfotunately, he has decided to retire from golf. Not sure if it was the right decision for him, but anyway...Last edited by fergy; 01-13-2003 at 12:18 PM.
