Scotty mania?
Now I'm not trying to be accusatory as I have one myself, but is it me or does there seem to be a Scotty mania sweeping these and other golf boards lately? I would have thought there'd be a lot more interest in the new higher MOI putters that have come out this year, especially the SRT series from Odyssey. I've recently picked up a Bobby Grace 6.4K GT that is MUCH more forgiving than my Studio Style, and which has a comparable feel. The only thing holding me back on fully replacing the Scotty is that I'm still not dialed in on the weight of longer range putts with the big mallet. Once I get that going, I'm not sure I'll ever go back to blade putters. And I know there are some high moi Cameron designs, but they don't have the kind of devotion that the smaller mallet and blade putters get. To me, the whole Scotty thing seems to be like when old-schoolers tried to hold on to their 275cc drivers.
I know putting is a very personal thing, but technology must still win out eventually?

I think putters are about 50% feel for me. I want to look down at the putter and feel comfortable at it. I have used several mallet putters and they did work well, but i just haven't found one that looked good to me. I am looking at some of the new MOI putters, but none of them have looked nice to you.
You can get used to any putter, but the putter needs to look and feel great to you, and for me right now its a Scotty.

Only reason i have two Scotty's is simple.
Buy the older ones cheap,re-finish them and triple your money on e-bay!
It's insane how much some of those putters can fetch!
Myself,my 2-ball blade is my go to putter, much better feel.
This putter is not leaving the bag.
The Scotty's look great, very traditional like the older Pings.
Red-x in my opinion is a better putter, even the futura.Dirty...Mean...And Mighty Unclean.

I can't play mallets... I can't control their speed on short putts (inside 12 feet)
I have played several Mallets and Blades, and I've settled on flange blades as the best fit for me. This includes Scotties, but is not exclusive to them. Now that I have the Scotty blade, and I'm happy with it, and ordered a cheap beatup mil spec newport from another site to give it a try.
I like Scotties, but I'm not a 'Scotty Only' kinda guy...I also love my Ping G2 Tess, And i'm really liking the feel of the Yes! blades....just too bad that GT doesn't stock the 2 like the most in Left Handed.NCGT Ryder Cup Team Green (06,07,08)

Camerons are not "all the craze" anymore. They've just become common, and justifying a high price on the club you probably use the most is easy. I would compare this fad to the original Big Bertha. In the meantime, I've become quite the addict. In the last month alone, I've aquired 6 Camerons. The rest of my years at school are hoping that we have not yet reached the tipping point. HAHA
