When it's -30 deg. at le Sorcier

Not a great day to check my shadow.....
On the last day of February, this is what the no3 green at LeSorcier looked like.

I've never really understood the whole 'rodent predicting the weather' thing.

If said rodent does not see his shadow on Feb 2 there's only 2 more weeks of winter? Is that correct? Does anyone recall a Canadian winter that ended in the middle of February? I think not.
Silly rodent, get back in the ground where you belong.

Great thread, nice pics, it's made me again wonder why I moved back to Ontario after living in BC for 7 years and also why the heck do we live in such a cold country. Come on spring.

Its 2 weeks in Pennsylvannia but 6 weeks in the Ottawa area. Believe a groundhog. Anyways, Canadian Weather is 50 weeks of Winter and two weeks of Summer in over 80% of its territory.
