Tournament Value
Hi everybody...
I am part of a tournament organizaing committee for this summer and we are attempting to establish a good value entry fee.
Obviously it depends on the course, but let's use a decent course of average price in the Ottawa area for example.
Would the following tournament be of interest:
Golf with Power Cart
Free Range use before round
BBQ Dogs and Burgers with salads before golf
Steak or Chicken dinner
Coupon/Savings Gift Bag
Individual Prize Pack $100+ Value
Possible Prize Pack includes ballcap, golf glove, putter, sleeve of balls, umbrella.
Entry Fee $100
Obviously there we would be some prizers for winners, draws, contests etc...
The format would be either a 4 person scramble or maybe some sort of 2 person challenge.
Looking for feedback...
Thanks

For 100$ I'd expect these:
Golf with Power Cart
Steak or Chicken dinner
Individual Prize Pack (but under 100$ in value)
Range and hot dogs and the extra goodies are a nice bonus

Sounds and looks like a very reasonable price for a tournament.

If the tournament supports a local charity, I'd be happy to offer a prize. Just email me. at DanKilbank@OttawaGolf.com with the particulars of the event once you book it.
That goes for all charity tournaments in the Ottawa area.
Also remember to post your events (carity or not, but open to the public) in our events calendar. There is a local events calendar for each region in the network.

Not too many can manage to include the "Free Range" option as it's not feasible, especially for a shotgun format. Also most areas are very small, such as Manderly, Moulins or Champlain.
But, if it's included "They-Will-Come".........
Got my vote too.
