Well folks, almost into september, so things will start to wind down soon(hope not), but everyone knows it can snow anytime now...so
we see a lot of negative stuff here, therefore how bout some good stories...nice things, good rounds, great marshalls, cold beer..hot beer cart girls, whatever, but your best golf experience of this summer......

I am a second year golfer. My best experience is hitting a straight drive with my 4 wood 210 yards. I liken this to when I was young and used to visit bars. You go 10 times and once in a while get lucky which keeps you coming back.

WOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
And Kermit said "It's not easy being green." NOT
It could be that the purpose of your life is only to serve as a warning to others.

My Best Experience
My best experience this year, without a doubt, finding OttawaGolf.com and joining the club....1/2 price golf all summer, nothing compares to that. Look out OttawaGolf Tour, next year Andy4Par is coming...

Hmmmm
Best golf experience....... the OG Tour by far.
Why?? In no particular order:
1. Team Green. We kicked some butt.
2. Three beer carts at the Ryder Cuip event (I think we started a thread after that one...)
3. Shooting 79 at The Nation and winning money!
4. Making many new friends through OttawaGolf.com.
Thanks Dan.:hat

best experiences so far this...
the best by far,
enjoying each and every game i have played in the past 3 months (only about 6-8) and why is this a greta experience?
even though i have played about 30 shots over my usual game on each and every occassion, i have enjoy the time being out on the course, being with good people, and even playing (it is a lesson about enjoying the game no matter what)...
the second best was playing the marshes, too bad i didn't have game (not even my C game) but still...
And last but not least, what i have learned this year...
you can't play to your abilities while you are building your own house, living in your in-laws basement, working a full-time job, etc, etc, etc......

Best Golf Experience This Year
Played a couple of weeks ago with a buddy that moved away that used to beat me all the time by a few strokes. Played with him for the 1st time in about 6 years and shot my best score ever and kicked his ass. Oh yeah finally broke PAR in that round too for my 1st time ever.

Congrats!
That's awsome!
Still havent broke par yet but have had a few 9's under par. :crying
I just wanted to add to my list of good experiences the marshalls and starters at Manderley. They have been great all year long for our regular weekly rounds. They always give great service and help us in any way they can, especially Dave. Thanks guys!

Favourite moments this year:
Let's see, i just started golfing for the first time three weeks ago, but I would have to say:
My 280 yard drive on number 13 at manderley
My PW shot on a rock out of a ditch to land on the green 90 yards away.
And nearly crapping my pants seeing my friend hit the pin from 240 yards out.

My favorite golf experience was going to jacksonville fl. I played the TPC at sawgrass (stadium course). I got to play the 17th hole with Mike Weir. It was alot of pressure trying to hit an island green with him watching me. To make a long story short I put 2 balls in the water and took a 7. The course was amazing. I hope to play there again someday.

2002 Hilight
For me it was a great day out at Pakenham Highlands a couple of weeks back. Got a chance to play with my son, and for the first time in a long time I was able to best him. Admittedly I was having a sort of out of body experience, but anytime I can even come close is satisfying. Now I have something to smile about all winter long (or until the next time we play when I'm sure things will return to normal).

1) Flagstick Magazine's Father and Son tournament at the Metcalfe. This event gets more fun each year.
2) Mid-Amateur at the Greensmere. The greens were amazing.
3) Listening to Gary pontificate on rules issues; Steve for his awesome organization; and Dan the Man for running this Gold Medal Quality golf site.
4) Quality golfing weather (although there were a few hot ones this year) throughout the region.
5) Stonebridge. (except the 19th hole )spidey

PEI
Played Dundarave, Brudenell (6,6,and 6) and Clyde River (don't play there) and Glen Afton. The last two are low end courses. We were supposed to play Mill River, which I hear is nice, but t-storms prevented that.
I played Highlands last year too. Did you walk it?
Dundarave, so far, is my favorite in PEI. There's a new one called Eagles Glen which is supposed to be nice. Brudenell is a nice course too. A membership is 800$....can you imagine?? A course as nice as any around here.
