    Hey all

    Hello. New guy here. I would've posted this earlier today when i joined, but i was in a bit of a hurry to get to work.

    I'm out in BC, Vancouver Island, in Nanaimo. If any easterners ever make it out here, go play Bear Mountain in Victoria. It's a Nicklaus course & pretty dang nice. Well worth the bucks.

    Anyways, looks like a nice place to hang out. I'm glad to have been directed to a Canadian forum. Thanks to the moderator for that one. I look forward to posting in the future.

    Hey there, nice to see another islander. I'm in Victoria (going to school). Don't have the dough for the Nicklaus course, but I love playing Olympic View when I get the chance - 25-35 bucks for a student, depending on the season...best deal anywhere.

    I have family in Victoria and get out there every few years. Olympic View is awesome. Cordova Bay is a must play for me whenever I visit. It's gorgeous and only a 5 minute walk from my brother's house.

    I've also got some family out that way (Bowen Island) and have been out to visit a few times... Unfortunatley I've only gotten 1 or 2 games a visit, but that's going to change soon...planning a trip out for next year, but this time it will be a golf trip w/ a little family on the side, not the other way around

    Welcome shovellover, glad to have you aboard.
    One of the things I miss most about living in North Vancouver(lived in BC for 7 years) was the fact you could go snowboarding in the morning and have a tee time in the afternoon during the winter. Sweet.

    Indio, I actually directed him here. We were discussing clubs on another forum and the topic of shipping to the States came. I told him many of our local club hos ship clubs all the time and maybe they could help.

    So welcome shovellover, enjoy your time here. I'm sure you'll come to realize that there is many knowledgeable fellows here that would be more than willing to discuss anything you can think of.

    We went to Olympic View for my bachelor party. One of my buddies refused to wear a golf shirt & they never let us on. So we went paintballing instead. It's a special kind of friend that will shoot you at point blank range.
    I've been trying to make it back up there. My father in law wants to go & play Olm Vw & Gorge Vale on the same day.
