there was one on ebay w/ a buy it now (actually being sold by a member of TGN), and I figured I wouldn't have too many chances to snag one of these so I jumped on it

I assume you splurged, but could you give me an idea approximately what a putter like that set you back? I looked at the RH models, but I assume the pure rarity of the LH model would drive the price up, no?

It ended up coming in @ 850$ (canadian).

The nice thing is that it will appreciate in value because of the rarity, so there's no real risk associated with the purchase...unless i lose it, or damage of course

Wow eh? $850! Now that's rarity. I suppose you can take comfort in knowing those who recognize it appreciate it, and that would make it all worthwhile. Definitely a beautiful putter. Same goes for the rest of you bag too though, the 731PMs! You've got quite a collector's edition bag going on there.

Having a putter this valuable operates as a real incentive to not throwing it or "tapping" it against the gound or sending it to the basement as punishment for a bad performance. What fun is that?

OMG a $850 putter? That is crazy!! Not saying you are crazy because if I found a club that I loved I am pretty sure I would spend that much if not more on it but why is the putter so expensive? I thought $399.99 was the most expensive putter made.. whats the deal

Haha 399... You can spend 2000 easy on a Scotty.. A tiger woods replica from his master win was sold at the golf show for 25Gs... This one is expensive because its a specialty putter and a lefty.. I think only like 500 of these were made..

Ok here are some more pics of my sticks.. I will be adding a 22 degree 503H friday and a new Titleist staff bag.. Next week when I get to Myrtle I am adding 54 and 60 degree spin milled wedges.. Maybe a 905R who knows hah.. anyway my irons now have the Accra steel shafts as you can see.

Here is my current bag set up for this coming spring.
Everything is listed in my signature so no need to list it here again.
The TaylorMade stand bag is the spring and wet day bag, the Titlest Sunday Bag is the one I use when it is hot and sunny.
There might be one more addition, a Ping G2, if I can find one I want at the big sale next week.
The KZG CH1 3 wood will have a shaft change from steel to graphite.

This is the bag as it sits currently. I made the jump to graphite because an intersting deal presented itself. I just finished at the range & they feel & perform great. The orange is a little hard to take, though. I might just have to fix that.
