Forum Golfing Day
I might as well get this out of the way before anything else. Without confering with my fellow commitee members I will go out on a limb and post this.
If we were to have a golf day for members of the forum, which day would you like to have it on? Please select from the poll."A life lived in fear of the new and the untried is not a life lived to its fullest." M.Pare 10/09/08

day
For me also all days are good but keep in mind that if we happen to choose Hylands as the club, they are open to outside tourny only on Mondays and Fridays.

If you are looking for a higher turn out, remember that a day during the week is going to really limit a lot of players who can make it. Also, you run the risk of last minute meetings and other job related stuff to factor in.

I figured most people would not want to book time off work for a "fun" day of golf. As for the Mon and Fri choices, if when it comes time to vote on courses and Hylands is chosen, if we have enough votes for Mon or Fri we can have the tourney there then.

I'm ok for any day that ends in .....day
Also to note .....................
Weekends are usually harder to get tee times for tournaments. If they do have them, tee times generally start at noon or 1 pm which is good if you have a dinner. Bad news is more $$$I've spent most of my life golfing .... the rest I've just wasted"

Any day, but most NCGTour members will be unavailable several of the Sundays. (see schedule)

Saturday would be best for me. You could as well make it a swap day in which the Saint might be very interested in participating in Swap in the morning play in the afternoon.

Geoff
Dont forget about Intersectionals (first sunday in july) all the club tournaments you and the rest of your committee will be playing, OVGA field days, National Capital Tour events (see schedule on our site), Holidays and long weekends when booking.I've spent most of my life golfing .... the rest I've just wasted"

You could always combine it with an NCGT event... Those on the Tour would still score for points, those that aren't would be playing for fun.
It could be that the purpose of your life is only to serve as a warning to others.

I would prefer a Weekend, but would be flexible to try and put a face to all the members on here who have given me great advice.
(however coming from Kingston may need a couch to crash on).
Will attend whatever day it is, with notice.

tourny
Shark you can crash on my couch for that as my wife will be gone to military training for the next 10 months, so lots of room.
Thanks

I don't know yet whether I'll be in Ottawa for the summer, but if I am, I'd like to get out and meet some of the people I argue with on here. A weekend would be preferable, but as I said, I may not even be in town

I'll go any day, any time just as long as I don't have to wear my "alias" on my back. I wouldn't want OGN or Bucky in the foresome behind me waiting for sweet revenge for all the nast comments made towards them latley!

I would perfer a Sunday but any day would do for me except the following Sundays, April 30, May 21, June 4 and 25. I would definitely have to take days off cause of the travel time involved. (10 hours each way) May have to tell me of a motel or something close to the chosen course so that I could sleep a couple of hours. Thanks, Frank

If you get a member to drive all the way from Pittsburgh, that's incredible.

Saturday lines up with my pre-approved golfing day, so that's best for me.
If another day is chosen I could likely make that too pending job, etc.

It's all about negotiations when you have two kids.
It's better now that they are older, but I first negotiated a standing Saturday golf day when they were smaller and mommy time alone on the weekends was not a good thing.
