Renovations at the Canadian
Was just out at the Canadian and had a chance to talk with some of the people there. Apparently there are a ton of changes in the works which will be implemented over the next few months. It sounds like they expect the re-designs to be ready for next year's play.
Major changes to holes: West 1, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18
Major changes to holes: East 7, 8, 9.
Widening the reservoir.
Widening the pond on West 17 significantly.
Removing drainage ditches on West 13, 14, 15 and East 8.
Moving the tee on East 9, East 8, West 18, West 17, West 16, West 15 (removing the back tee completely and increasing the pond volume)
Moving the green on East 8, West 14, West 15, West 16.
Also, the drainage is being redesigned to redirect more water into the reservoir. Sounds like there are even more changes than this, too.
Wow!! Quite the investment. I hope they also chime in with a pace of play program like the Stonebridge.
good golfing,
spidey
