The best instruction book i know is in fact a Mike Austin’s DVD where the whole one-plan Austin's swing is perfectly explained from stance to finish. More than a method or golf philosophy it’s just a swing and it’s so precious!

I try...But his way of swinging contains more classical principles than it seems. It's looks like Vijay's swing. Not bed inst'it?

Right palm doesn't necessary come off the club but at the time of impact the power is on the right hand, conséquence of a great extension of right arm.
I hope you can understand my english.http://jungolf.blogspot.com/

I think I remember about Austin is that he really uses his arms as levers throwing the club back and out or something, guess I will have to read it again! also he made great fun of PGa saying those guys were twisting themselves into corkscrews. (It was a little more rude than that). He is not in favour of a strong turn which to me sounds nothing like VJs swing. But as I say Iwill have to read it again. Oh an by the way Minor your english is just fine.

Maybe what is described as a twirl of the club around the wrists is the fact that the wrists are desarmed very early, at the start of the downswing and so there is no delay of the club in the middle of the downswing as it is often taught today. The link with vijay's swing rather concern the motion of the legs and the way of turning the hips toward the target.

Backswing - Start in K position, then flex left leg while pushing off left heel, which in turn lowers shoulder. Do not roll hands conventionally, but go opposite way, under not over which leaves your left hand bowed at the top. Should feel very powerful at the top, like you were going to give someone a hard backhand slap.
Downswing - Toss or twirl the club to start swinging and hard shift weight by flexing right leg while pushing off heel. The right shoulder will lower and the club will be on plane. The shoulders turn around the neck, arms don't separate until well after ball is struck. ( This connection sounds like VJs, arm against chest )
The clubface is square to th points of a compass throughout swing.
Swing is based on leverage - not rubberband, less back problems.
Is this what you have learned?? It does feel very powerful at the top. I think I will give it a go a see how it is.

I thing you're right. It's a fabulous powerful swing. Don't forget that Austin produced the longest drive of history at a Las Vegas Senior tour tournement in 1974 with a 515 yards shot!
