my Wendys experience
Just got back from lunch and felt I should share this with everyone.
I went to Wendy's for a burger and I'm the first one in line as there are two people already placing their order, and there is a gentleman behind me. I was waiting patiently for a couple minutes, then an older man comes out of the bathroom and positions himself in line behind the cashier on the right. Being somewhat quiet, I was waiting in the middle of both lines for which ever was available first. Low and behold, the person on the right gets their food and the person taking the order asks if he can help the next person in line (myself ) So the guy that just came out the bathroom goes to place his order and myself and the gentleman behind say to him " Sir!, Sir, the line starts over here". He proceeds to say "no, it's ok, I was in line before but just went to the bathroom." Not quite sure what to say, the guy behind me and myself look at each and burst out laughing. That has got to be one of the weirdest excuses I have ever heard.Rich

Sorry for the message dan has removed ;p I find your story tout a fait interesting, it once happened to me. I was waiting at mc donalds to have my ice cream, and the women on my side tried to take my place in the line. I then told her to wait, because it was my turn. She said , ok no problem.

I've had stuff like that happen a lot. There are no more manners, I just learn to ignore it...
My favourite: an airline, waiting to board...I get to the front of the line, and the light goes off...when I get there, the attendant says "Sorry, I have to attend to something...please go back to the line." I head back, and theres a little older lady...she sees me, and she puts on this big frown like "Im next, tough luck". THe light goes off, and she quickly runs past me to the spot. I look at the guy next behind her, he shrugs and we both laugh. I figured she had ten years left, she might as well use it wisely.

Once, it was on the line to take the plane. The guy said " let me first please ". The attendant said " no wait like everybody does". Then the guy got mad " you don't know who i am ". After that the attendant took the microphone and said " there is a man that doesn't know who he is , does somebody know him? " ///

must be something about airports, standing in security line waiting to go thru, up comes this person asking to be let in at the front of the line. When I asked why, the classic reply, I have a plane to catch. To this day I wonder why he thought all the other people were standing in that line for.

Winnipeg Airport
This is hilarious. I wish I had the guts of this girl. For all
of you out there who've had to deal with an irate customer, this one
is for you. An award should go to the Air Canada gate agent in
Winnipeg for being smart and funny, while making her point, when
confronted with a passenger who probably deserved to fly as cargo.
A crowded Air Canada flight was cancelled. A single agent was
re-booking a long line of inconvenienced travelers. Suddenly an angry
passenger pushed his way to the desk. He slapped his ticket on the
counter and said "I HAVE to be on this flight and it has to be FIRST
CLASS."
The agent replied, "I am sorry, sir. I'll be happy to try to
help you, but, I've got to help these folks first, and I'm sure we'll
be able to work something out."
The passenger was unimpressed. He asked loudly, so that the
passengers behind him could hear, "DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHO I AM?"
Without hesitating, the agent smiled and grabbed her public
address microphone, "May I have your attention please, " she began,
her voice heard clearly throughout the terminal. "We have a passenger
here at Gate 14 WHO DOES NOT KNOW WHO HE IS. If anyone can help him
find his identity, please come to Gate 14."
With the folks behind him in line laughing hysterically, the
man glared at the Air Canada agent, gritted his teeth and swore "F***
You!"
Without flinching, she smiled and said, "I'm sorry sir, you'll
have to get in line for that too!"

Wendy
Now that was funny. Where I work there is a guy who think that he is God or something higher and he called once the reception and I was replacing the receptionist for a couple of minutes and he called on his cell wanting to talk to someone and I could not make out who he wanted to talk to (bad connection) and I kept making him repeat who he wanted to talk to, and he asked me if I KNEW WHO HE WAS, and I answered that I had no clue and that for all I knew he could be anybody. Long story short he has not said hello to me since then (almost 1 year). Some people think that they are more important than anybody else and they tend to loose all manners. You catch more flies with honew than with vinager.

This also extends to our roads, on my daily commute home everyday I watch car after car drive in the bus lane between Bayshore & Moodie while the rest of us just sit and wait in traffic. To me this is the same as pushing your way into the middle of the line.
Love the airport story though.
