They can't build properties there because it is a natural reserve. And also wild wing stays one of the best golf resorts , Avocet is awesome.

7 nights in Punta Cana, end of January. Plan to play "La Cana", "Cocotal", and maybe "Teeth of the Dog".
Has anyone ever used these guys: http://www.tee-off-times.info/seiten/Frameset.html

I know putna cana very well. Played Punta cana golf links, Casa de Campo Teeth of the dog, and the Cocotal was free with my hotel stay " Melia Carive Tropical".

Now I know this isn't too exciting, but I expect most if not all my winter golfing will be done at the sims. Better than nothing

I know some friends who have a condo over there. They are in France atm. Maybe if you want the address, you can stay there. I'll phone you when they're going over there ;p

winter golf
I like Santee as a winter get away. It is cheap the golf is great and there is nothing else to do there except play golf, so you might as well play 36 holes a day, have a beer, eat and go to bed for the next day golf.
Thanks
Claude
