Coliseum Dome Driving Range?
Has anyone heard about the Coliseum dome (Lansdowne Park) driving range this year? I went on their web site and the "golf" portion of the pull down tabs has been removed. I was looking forward to my weekly outing there, now I might have to travel further east to the Hornets nest! It's a little smaller and there are less mats.

I believe in the past they usually opened up in Janaury, but if it's off their website......not looking good.

I've sent them an e-mail to find out what's up, but no reply as of yet! They have a discussion forum board as well but it is dedicated to soccer only! Not quite the same efficency at here on the Ottawa Golf Forum!

Good news for soccer players, bad news for golfers
I just received a message from the dome, great news for soccer or ultimate players, not so good for golfers!
"Hi Mark,
The dome will not be used as a driving range this season.
Thank you,
Joe Bard
The Coliseum"
Brutal, now the hunt begins...

this amazes me...
that with our climate, population and interest in golf in Ottawa, there are not domed ranges in the region. Thunderbird has crappy hours, and so did this one......sure we have sims, etc. but I personally don't like them that much. Id' rather get to a range, albeit even if it is an indoor one....
I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

That is to bad. I am very surprised that soccer can bring in that many more people then golf. I also dont like the sims.....all they do is make you swing harder and harder...no matter where you go.....I for one am not looking forward to my swing after all winter long in a sim.
