National Capital Golf Tour
A Message to All Current and Former OttawaGolf Tour Members
I would like to extend a huge “thank you” to all the 2005 OttawaGolf Tour members for their support and participation this past season. It was a pleasure to see some new faces, and get re-acquainted with some “old” ones too.
I would also like to thank all former tour members for their support over the last four years.
A special thanks to Dan Kilbank for his dedication to the tour over the last 4 years. As most of you are aware, Dan has stepped down as a tour organizer.
With that in mind, I would like to announce that going forward; the tour will now be known as the National Capital Golf Tour.
Along with the name change, there are some format changes as well, in an effort to enhance the tour player’s experience.
- Stableford Scoring System
- 10 “Official” Points Events, including 2 “Majors” worth 1.5x points
- AND 3 “Non-Official” Events (36 hole Ryder Cup event, 16 player season-long Match Play tournament, and of course, the “Road Trip”)
The new website is www.nationalcapitalgolftour.com. Thanks to Dave Colbeck and Rich McLean for their assistance in getting the website up and running, and to all of you for your emails and input from the questionnaire.
Come on over and have a look around, and don’t forget to register for the Forums. As always, your feedback is greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your time, and I hope to see you on the tour in 2006.
Sincerely,
Steve Karam
