i tried this a couple times when i was hanging around golftown and didn't really like it. It seemed to get stuck a lot. Also, its for golfers who set their wrists early, like Nick Price. This is not a good tool for golfers who don't set the wrists early, like Tiger!!

It is interesting that Leadbetter converted both Nick Price and Nick Faldo from late wrist setters, to early wrist setters, and in so doing, they became multiple championship winners.

Perhaps an early set is better and this device would actually help we mortals improve our ball striking.

I'm more interessted in correcting my swing plane.
This trainer looks like it works.
    Does anyone agree?
Would the medicus be a better choice?

    Covanant,

Did you end up getting one? I'd love to hear from anyone who got one, it gets some pretty glowing reviews and not just from people on the infomercial . I'm looking for something to use during the winter, and also to help warm up before playing.

No i have not,i'm not sure which aid,if any yet.
Picked it up at golftown, but it was too crowded to swing.
    It felt heavy and awkward.

I didn't like it, but thats me. It's hard to swing like a golf club, feels more like a baseball bat. i think a weighted club would be better.

I don't know about the swing setter but the medicus sucks Don't waste your money. You'll get more from a 30 dollar book and a 2 lbs lead pipe.

    Cheers

I might have these mixed up; but the thing that comes from Todd Hamilton doesn't seem like it's all that mysterious.

The Leadbetter swingsetter; to get the 2 clicks you just have to really poewr it; i dont' think it cares if your swinging properly or not.

That Hinge Thing; Lemme tell you that hinge was FLYING all over the map when I tried it but after making it so it wouldn't flyall over I demoed a club at golf town and was hitting it 180-200 yards STRAIGHT each time which is a fluke for me.

I was at the brookstreet went over to the marshes before going to Golftown; Marshes had BETTER prices on some demo clubs; the guy at the pro shop was going to sell me a GBBII Titanium for 150$! I'd of bought it but I want custom fittings before I buy anymore clubs.

OK I've been using it for 3 weeks now.

Like any other swing aid the swingsetter does certain things well. If you cast the club it will help you retain the lag before release. It works very well in that respect. It won't help your plane all that much, though you do have to drop that thing from the inside to make the ball click.

Yes you can swing wildly and get the balls to move but the idea is to get the balls moving without swinging 110%. I can get them moving with 70% effort now. It's all in retaining the power and releasing through impact.

The grip is pretty awesome too.
