Question Seeking opinions on iron sets

    Hi all,

I am in the process of looking to buy a new set of irons and I was looking for a little help in making up my mind. I have narrowed my search to the following: Titleist 762's, Callaway X-14's, Hogan Apex Edge and Taylor Made 300 series (320 or 360).

I'm a 5 handicap looking for a little extra distance and forgiveness. I don't shape the ball too much so this is not a concern.

I am hoping to hear from people who use (or have used) any of the above clubs but all opinions are welcome.

Thank you all in adavance for your help.

    Hogan's

I play with the Apex irons and I love them. If you do go for the Hogan's make sure that you get them custom fitted.........

    Hoganize yourself!

You didn't mention if you have tested the clubs you mentioned. Which ones feel better in your hands?

I've tested the Callaways outside and have hit all the others into an indoor net. I think I'm leaning towards the Callaways right now but the Hogans aren't too far behind.

    Thanks for the help.

    x-14 pro

I tried many irons and narrowed it down to the callaway x-14 and x-14 pros before buying the pros series. They are fantastic. Best irons I've ever owned.

I'm a 9.8 and dropping thanks to these babies.

My pesronal opinion, Titleist are by far my favourite irons to play. I play the 981's and they are great! Great feel with control and accuracy. But, you should really try all sorts of sets. I think you should go visit CB's and demo some sets.

Anyhoo, I hope you find the right set for you!
