How about the outfit on Guy in the last competition?????? Jesus christ he looked like he was going disco dancing, circa 1972. Clothing like that should be banished, not just on a golf course but everywhere!

Yeah that guy's clothes (is his name "Guy"?) were nuts. I think the pants were tapered at the bottom too.
Does anyone have to be told that fireworks and circles don't match?

I found it pretty funny to watch Marty shank his tee shot and then flub his chip shot from behind the green. I thought these guys were good.

I couldn't believe those flubbed shots either. I know we all do it but most pro's don't do that too regularly, especially not twice on one hole. I guess it was some bad nerves.

I found it made for excellent tv, though. I'm enjoying this big break more than any of the other incarnations of the show.

I enjoy the show as well, but you have to wonder about the quality of the golf.
Last night's show featured a bunch of "lay up" tee shots in the woods, very few greens in reg, a shank, a flubbed chip and only one of 40 wedge shots within 3 feet.
PS - perfect weather this weekend for all those with games lined up

I was wondering the same thing bbbeam. Either the pressure is getting to these guys or they're all terrible. Only one in the 5 points circle was unbelievable.

Keep in mind theres a constant wind in scotland, and that day looked like no exception...

I was surprised that nobody pulled driver and wailed one. It didn't look like there was that much trouble and striping a drive would certainly put the pressure on the other guy.
I'll give them the benefit of the doubt on the circle contest and say that the wind was causing problems.

Yes I guess there was wind. It just didn't look that bad although I wasn't there. We'll see how they do the rest of the way because most days will have wind in Scotland, no doubt.

I can't believe anyone would quit during a round of golf with Jack Nicklaus. What the heck was he thinking? Too tired! Come on. Get a life Warren.

*** Spoiler Alert ***
David on the US team got eliminated tonight. Good riddance...since he awfully c*cky even though we share the same first name.

"Come on Pro, just hit the shot."
I too am glad that David is gone. If you're going to be y, at least have some semblance of game. I don't think he hit one good shot in all three holes.

I am also gald that David is gone. I did not like his attitude at all.....even after hitting a poor shot he'd say something like I hit it on the screws it just wasn't on the green. LOL I think for him to get better he is going to need to change his attitude. You do have to show confidence on the golf course but first you have to know when you made a bad shot and admit it. How else are you going to fix it?

For a guy that *y - you'd think he wouldn't miss a 36 yrd wide box with 5 drives in a row! See you on the practice range Dave.
Some guys were down on Tommy Two gloves earlier in the Thread, but he had the best driving score last night.
the preview showed a clip of Don Donatello from BBII. Maybe he can kick the US team in the butt.

Finally got a chance to view last weeks episode. Thank god David is gone. What a moron. How can you hit a shot perfectly on the screws and have it go off to one side or the other? Sounds like it was a perfect shot, NOT! I think someone needs an ego check. Don't let the door hit you in the ....

Any thoughts on who the strongest american is? Strongest Euro??
I'm just glad they have a golf reality show; it's alot more fun to watch than any of the others I'd say.
Can't wait for tonights episode.

Poor Eddie, i actually really enjoyed him. Didn't have the prettiest golf game but had a great personality. Unbeilevable when he told Don to "shutup and hit the shot" i nearly pissed myself. Looked like Don had a small child growing out of his lip.

Guy is definitely not the strongest European, Marty is in my opinion. He had one nasty showing other than that he's golden. Oddly enough i think tommy two gloves is the man on the States to beat.

We shall see. Oddly (or not) the big break competitions do not weed out the worst players. After the show, I'd love them to take all their contestants and have them do a 4 day tourney, just to see who comes out on top, or maybe for one exemption.

I think Marty is the strongest EURO he does amazing at the competitions and the only bad thing you can say is that he shanked one. (Who hasen't)...
GUY and Tomas and Warren are all really good though it's close.
on the US; Paul or the guy who did that chip from the bunker (TJ?) so Paul could put in to win.
I like the show; can't wait to see them play the old course.
Did anyone else know in their mind IMMEDIATELY that they were going to St. Andrews when they mentioned a secret trip involving a bus?

I think everyone is overly critical they are good golfers look at their resumes and the fact that they are on the show.
Professionals are Professionals and who knows what kinda ups and downs they had before they made it on tour.
Here is a test:
When you ask someone if you can play through; do you get alittle nervous teeing off infront of them? (I do).
Now imagine teeing off infront of a whole video crew that is going to broadcast everything worldwide....
I think we're overly critical especially when you factor in wind etc...
