Falcon Ridge - Handicap issue
Today I tried to enter the round I played at Falcon Ridge over the weekend in my scorecard, but noted that slope and rating for the course in the handicap area diod not match that of the scorecard in the featured course section.
Does anyone know which is correct?
Thanks,
Reza

I'll look into it. Which version matches the printed card (if you have it)?

I knew you were going to ask that!
I seem to have misplaced the card. Sorry!

Looks like the handicap db is incorrect. I'll get it updated. In the meantime use manual entry and the numbers on the card for this course.

BTW, what was the condition of the course like?

There still seems to be a problem with the numbers... on the Falcon Ridge site both blue and white have the same slope and rating. That cannot be right.
The card on OG shows no numbers for the white tees since they shortened them last year and were unrated. That still may be the case. That would explain the official database being out of date.

For $20 on a Saturday afternoon, you can't beat it for value....
There were a few holes where the fairway was in dubious shape in spots, but for the most part it was fine.
There were a tough few holes in the back 9. I found 8 balls in #10 alone!!!
That is the most number balls I have found in a single hole.Last edited by rezadue; 09-15-2005 at 07:43 PM.

Love the tenth hole best on course in my opinion.

Personally, I don't even play it anymore. If I remember I'll pick up a couple of range balls in the left rough on the first hole and give them a whack off the tee - otherwise I just keep on walking and mark an X on the scorecard.Golf is a game invented by the same people who think music comes out of bagpipes.

I don't think it is that bad as long as you play it conservative.
Mind you I endup up getting luckey and cutting the corner on my tee shot and found myself on the fairway staring at the green for my second shot. Beginner's luck!!!!

Exactly why I like it. It is one of the few holes that can scare me into playing safe.

I'm at the opposite of the spectrum. When I've reached that hole, I usually look at it, shake my head, wonder why I'm playing it again, and lose interest. By the time I'm on #13, I don't care about the game any more, and swear I'll never be back again. And I haven't been there this year!

The rest of the course is OK, and I do like 17 and 18 a lot. Two of the nicest finishing holes you'll find. I think that's why I keep going back.Golf is a game invented by the same people who think music comes out of bagpipes.

Good assesment.
IMO, #10 is a moronic hole, but hey, to each his own. There are a number of decent holes on the course but #10 ain't one of them.
