Consider ourselves lucky!
Just saw on the weather network that Calgary is under a heavy snowfall warning. How depressing is that! I have to say we are quite lucky that we have about another 2.5 months of golf left. Thought I'd try to make ourselves as Ottawa residents feel better about our climate.

Give him a little ribbing for me as well. Poor, poor Calgarians.

I'm in Calgary on business for a while...there's no snow warning, it's 8-10C and the forecast is for it to be up to 16C this week...feels more like late October weather but golf is still on...
the snow was in the southwest...up in the mountains...had 45 cm over the weekend...

Thanks for clearing that up. I had just seen Calgary posted on the Weather Network. Volume was down so didn't hear anything. Either way, way too soon to be thinking of snow.

I lived in Calgary for a few years, and my last year before I moved back to Ottawa (2002), it snowed every single month in the year. Not enough always to stick around, but definite snow every month.
Around here nobody puts their water in their cottages before the May long weekend because of the potential of frost. There, nobodoy goes camping on the August long weekend because it usually snows.
It also hit 24* in February my last year, so, just crazy weather out there.
