Played Renfrew on Monday in the tournament that Dru won and while I agree that this course is aesthetically perhaps the best in the area, to suggest that it is one of the best conditioned courses is a debatable point.

If you check the scores from the tournament, even par was best and while good, it is higher than what would be expected. The main reason is the greens. They were very slow and less than smooth. While this may be conducive to NOT 3 putting, it makes it very difficult to make putts. The ball loses its speed at the hole and then quiclkly moves off line, something that does not happen on greens that are cut to an acceptable tournament height.

Having said the above, if I lived with a half hour of the course, I would be a member there in a heart beat.

I agree, actually the greens there are slower than they have been all year. They were much much quicker in July for the men's regular intersectionals.

I still feel obliged to praise the course at every opportunity, though.
