    Solheim Cup

To everyone who says Women's Pro golf isn't fun to watch, turn on the Golf Channel.
The play at the Solheim Cup at Crooked Stick has been great. A lot of quality shots being made this morning.

Well at least it is being televised! Of course we have to endure the constant USA banter. When the Euros made their comeback in the alternate shot format Friday morning the gung ho announcing became a little less gung ho!

Super Entertainment. Nice to watch the Pros stuggle with the pressure we feel all the time. Not quite the Ryder Cup but a heck of a lot more fun than the event in BC. And a lot fewer commercial breaks. And they stay with the broadcast until the final putt drops. Even TSN can't squeeze that in.

I'll be watching the Euro's bring the cup home with 'em...

Well USA wins a well played Solheim Cup. Both teams played some great golf. It was nice to see Meg Mallon clinch the deciding 1/2 point.

I know one thing, I sure would like to get the caddy job for Paula Creamer, she is going to make some big cash in her career

Paula Creamer has to be one of the most exciting golfer's in the world right now. I loved watching her stomp Laura Davies. With these great young players it looks like the US team is going to be a powerhouse for years to come.
The U.S. men's team could learn something about playing as a team from these ladies.

This just happened to be about an hour from my house. I think the women have a more fluid swing than the men. It is fun to watch some quality golf late in the year.

Shivas Irons, you are right. Paula Creamer is exciting to watch. No fear at all. For a 19 year old Solheim Cup Rookie she played above and beyond anyones expectations I think. Her statements of how the US was going to win the Cup back were bold, however she let her sticks do the talking once the competition began.
She flat out waxed one of the better lady golfers in the Sunday singles. I bet Laura Davies was shocked when their match was over.

You are also correct with the fact that the US Ryder Cup team could take some lessons from the ladies. The ladies bonded together as a team, from ages 19 to 48. The idea of going to Crooked Stick together in a motorhome was brilliant on Nancy Lopez's part. They were a team.

With Morgan Presell waiting in the wings and some of the other younger women who will enter the LPGA the furture looks bright for that tour.

Lopez was a great captain for sure. Player after player showered her with compliments all week. Hopefully the Presidents Cup will be as entertaining as this tournament.
