Carleton Golf Advice
My buddy is playing Carleton Golf on Friday, as it looking for some advice. Any suggestions... heard it's tight and short?
Also trying to decided which 3 of 4 clubs to bring to the course:
driver goes 270-300+ striaght, or 15yrd draw (but on a bad day can fad aswell which is dangerous) .. can cut through the wind
3wood goes 260-270 straight, can play 10yrd fade or draw when needed...can't cut the wind very well
2i goes 240-250 straight, can play a 10yrd draw when needed...fade is unreliable
2h goes 230-240, can play it to a fade, draw or straight when needed..not as accurate as 2i and can't cut the wind
specifics:
2i is more accurate than 2hybrid off a tee, and much more consistent, however hybrid is easier to hit in the rough...big question is, how's the rough @ carleton... i'd like to remove the 2h in exchange for the 3w as I've heard it's a shorter tighter course... which makes me think the 2i for tee shots and an option of a 3w off the tee would be nice .. alos, do i need a driver?
