Riverbend length to river on 17th?

How far is river away from white tees on the 17th..
Anyone have any precise number?

We were wondering that very thing last Sunday. We had no idea, so I laid up with a solid shot that would have been about 180 yards, and I was 20 yards in front of it. My best guestimate is 200 to the creek, 220 to carry it. If anyone knows otherwise, please speak up!

The exact same situation arose Saturday morn and
there was a very heated discussion in our group about it.

I say 185.
Other guy says at least 210
Other guys says 220..

I hit an eash five iron shot that was meant to be a lay up right into the river . There is no way it was more than 190.

The angle you take really determines the length.
The difference between the left side and right side is significant. It probably ranges from 180 to 210 depending on the tee placement and the angle of attack.

I was a member at Riverbend for a few years,and I can attest that on #17 angle of attack is everything. Left of the bridge is probably a carry of 190 yds or a little more, the further right you go, the longer the carry is.
Best way I have found to to play 17 : Driver to left of the bridge, if you can find your ball in the rough, you'll have about a 170 yd shot to the stupidly small green.
