Long Drive Competitions?

Does anyone on here compete in any Long Drive competitions? I'm interested in getting involved with the Long Drive scene and would like to find any info possibly on long drive events.

I'm assuming that they have likely come & cone already this season...but maybe there's a few left that I don't know about.

How far do you hit it? I knew a kid in Florida who missed the nationals by like 3 yards, he was hitting them 370-380. Around here I don't know, but good luck

Well, my drives out on the course can range anywhere from about 280-350. My longest to date is 364. Keep in mind though that the drives are using a standard length driver and a soft-cover ball. I figure that with a long driver (I recently picked one up for a very good price) and a rock-like golf ball I could easily be competitive on the LD circuit.

I was looking at the qualifier results for the remax regional events, and aside from one competitor who knocked one 380 @ Orleans, most of the winning competitiors had drives under or around 340.

I'm just curious as to how the whole long drive thing works. If there's anyone on here who has actually competed it'd be cool to get some insight
