    First eagle!

It was on the 13th hole at Mont Cascades. Crushed a drive straight down the fairway, then followed up with an equally impresive 4 wood that ended up to about 20 feet from the hole. Step up and probably hit the best pressure putt of my life (perfect line and speed) for my first eagle .

    Congrats

Its a great feeling for sure. I made one last year and again this spring. Everything has to be right for that to happen. I cannot imagine what a hole in one would be like but I hope to find out soon.

    Way to go

My eagle earlier this weekwas a holed 150 yrd 7 wood to an elevated green (20' up)
I think I have an idea what a HIO feels like now!

It's a great club. It's staying in the bag despite your lame attempt at putting it down.
Besides, how could I possibly take it out after that shot?

I would prefer to hit a wood than an iron! I carry Driver through 9 wood, I leave the 3, 4 and 5 irons at home!

Got a HIO a few years back with the 9 wood.... (184 yds) and a double eagle last year with the Driver - 7 wood (505 yds)!

No Bob is not short for Bobbie .... I'm tempted to steal my wife's 11 wood!

I was lucky enough to get my first eagle this week as well. I was at Cloverdale on Monday on hole 15 and hit my drive about 250 landing on the left side of a hill to the right of the fairway. It is a dogleg to the left over water so with about 180 to go i hit my 5 Bazooka iron-wood [hybrid] to about 6 ft of the cup. Thank god the putt went in because i think it will be a long time until another opportunity like that comes along for me. Great job on your eagle, the 20 ft putt would have been nice to watch drop in.

Congrats....I got my first eagle on a par 4 this year on the first at Gatineau......Drove the green and sunk a 40 ft putt. Quite a feeling....You know what I mean. Finished the round at 74. Best score ever although I dont really count it since it is Gatineau I am talking about....I drove 4 greens that day.

That is a monster double dogleg hole if I remember correctly. Congrats!! Did you go for the green on the next?

    Keep it UP!!!

I've been lucky enough to eagle a par 5, a par 4 and a par 3. Still looking for the the big big bird; the Albatross.

    Eagle Time

Hey 3PUTT congrats on your EAGLE Now you might want to think about changing your user name here!

Eagles are always fun to get. I have been lucky enough to eagle all 4 of the par 5's on my home course, two of the par 4's and two of the par 3's over the past 4 years. Came damn close to the elusive Albotros, 2nd shot on a par 5 hit the pin and sat on the lip.

I have seen a few aces from other members of my groups over the years, some eagles from the 3rd shot from the fairway. One I remember was my buddy holing out for eagle from a bunker 75 yards from the green. Perfect shot, it landed past the pin and sucked back down the slope into the hole.

Golf can be a humbling game at times (I know, I am officially in a major slump this year after playing 24 years)

However it can be an uplifting experience when you have your first eagle, even your first birdie. That is exactly why we all love the game (no matter how bad you play one day you know you are going back out again)

To everyone on this forum who has had an Ace, Eagle or a Birdie, CONGRATS TO ALL
My opinions are my own, I do not follow others.

I did go for the green on the next hole. Hit a nice drive that came just short of the green , followed that up with 3 putts for par.

Golf can indeed be a humbling game.

"Pizzaman" - I'll tell Mike his new nickname. Perfect! I definitely need to start hitting longer if I am to ever come close to an Eagle....

Unless it's a hole in one that is! We still need to get one of those in our 4 some.

As long as we don't put any more "roasts" on hold for Pizza, I'm cool with pizzaholes....haha

Hopefully I will be hitting it a lot longer and straighter after my three months of lessons this winter. Still not sure it will be Kevin Haimes the reviews from this site were not very good for his OAC site last year.

Wow! Congratulations. That's really awesome. I am just happy to get birdies this year. An eagle seems an impossibility.

Lee Trevino used to say "If your age and handicap add up to 50 you should be carrying a 7 wood" Somehow I feel that statement applies to just about everyone who frequents this forum!
I used to carry one years ago. Still own it, an old TNT laminated wood 7 wood.

CONGRATS ON THOSE EAGLES BOYS, mine felt great this past Wednesday!

Just in case you guys haven't noticed these eagles were two years ago. The reason I brought it up is because when I play with Iron Maiden and Pizzaman every now and then I'll come up with a challenge for a hole and if anyone comes through then we head back to my place for Pizza, Billiards and Beverages. Last year one of the challenges was to birdie 16 at Cedar Glen. Pizzaman nailed about a 35 ft. Putt and we all celebrated. Another challenge is to eagle the 15th at Cloverdale. Just adds a little bit more fun to the day.
