OB verses Lateral Hazard
Let's say the left edge of the fairway - #2 at the Predator in fact is lined with red stakes and beyond the lateral hazard is OB - a public road. Because there are no red stakes at the other side of the creek or hazard (that is before the OB) any ball which leaves the course (by an inch or a mile) is simply played as a lateral hazard drop - one penalty stroke... right???

Sorry chuck, but I think this ruling is going to go against you.... OB is OB.

If a ball is lost or is out of bounds, the player shall play a ball, under penalty of one stroke, as nearly as possible at the spot from which the original ball was last played.
Exception: If there is reasonable evidence that the original ball is lost in a water hazard, the player shall proceed in accordance with Rule 26-1 (Ball in Water Hazard).
