    Any nice courses in the upper Ottawa Valley?

    Hello,

    I'm going be spending my next three weeks in Petawawa for work. I was wondering if there were any nice courses in that area I could try. I'll most likely be playing the course on base (Twin Rivers) because it's right there and the green fees are very low, but other than that, I don't have a clue... any ideas?

    Pembroke Shores is nice, I've played it several times and always been pleased. East towards Ottawa there is Oaks of Cobden about 1/2 hour drive approx. Renfrew has two courses, Renfrew G.C and DragonFly. Both are excellent courses Renfrew being probably the best golf for the money.

    My pick though would be Whitetail Golf Course just outside Eganville. Its about 15 minutes west of Cobden on Highway 60. Very nice course, best shape I've seen period. A real hidden gem.
