Good job Donny, I should have gone up the couch and do a few bets...:)
I have not watch the Patriots game today... but Moss only has 1 reception.
In the last 5 games it seems that he doesn't care. They have a lot of work to do if they think they will do anything in the playoff. :scratchch
I watched the game and Moss looked singular disengaged. Given his history of commitment to excellence, I would like to think that he is not well. If that isn't the case, then I wish the coach introduced him to the pine or one could transplant a bit of Welker's desire and grit into him.
Yes Mike that is what I was thinking. You can see it in the last 5 or 6 games... don't seem to care much.
I want to say the Saints are overrated and the Colts are underrated; however even though the Saints are barely squeaking by teams and the officiating calls are ridiculously going their way right now, they have my respect for overcoming about 30 injuries this year. Look at their injury report, i am sure it's the longest list in the NFL. Yet they march on. I'll give them props for that. I dont think they'll make it to the Superbowl. With the way they are playing on defense (400 yards to Campbell, 300 yards to Redman), any of the following teams with good offenses could take them down. Vikes, Eagles, GB, Zona.
Colts on the other hand are going to the Superbowl. No way SD beats Indy with that playoff choker Norv Turner as the coach. Fire him, and they have a shot.
Every Friday afternoon I stop by my favorite watering hole to enter my football picks (drinking pepsi if driving :)).
Well this week, we have 2 perfect cards in Pro Picks going into tonight's game. We have Arizona on both cards.
It will be more interesting to watch the game tonight.
Hope for the best.
Yes, shouldn't be much $$ but still fun to say we have a chance. :)
Alas not meant to be. Holy fumbles batman!!!!
Yup, they were awful... I got home after the first half and I couldn't believe they had 5 turnovers...
Cowboys got a huge monkey off their back. I think an NFC East team will get into the superbowl.
Are the Vikings in the NFC East? :)
Maybe Philly but doubt it. New Orleans or Vikings will be the NFC rep.
I'm not sure about an NFC team getting to the Super Bowl, but you are right that the Cowboys got a HUGE win last night.
I have to say, seeing Romo perform under pressure is a joy to watch (as a Cowboys fan). Even though the team had lost the last two, you could tell that Romo was in control most of the time. A couple of stupid fluky plays against the Giants, and the heinous run-the-same-play-from-the-one-yard-line-three-times against the Chargers...other than that, they've been pretty good.
Last night, they out together a dominating three-quarter performanace, and hung on to win. Great job!
PS - If that kicker is not cut, I don't know if they'll ever cut him.
Carolina manhandled the Vikings. I got ROCKED on proline yesterday.
Indy Vs. Philly and Indy wins another solidifying Peyton as on eof the best of ALL-time!
To me his is already the best all-time. Joe Montana second.
I would like to see one more big win out of him before annointing him the best. I have Joe ahead still.
I think a QB gets too much credit for being part of a super bowl winning team. He's only one individual playing one position. Favre is really hard to describe for me. I don't think he has the football IQ of the game's top QBs. Favre's greatest attribute is his toughness. So I'll say he's the toughest QB of the modern era.
It really depends on the individual playoff games in which that QB participates, and the supporting cast around him.
Manning has ALWAYS had superior talent around him, but poor defenses (aside from the last two years). Tom Brady, on the other hand, had great defenses in the Super Bowl victories but no stars surrounding him on offense. David Givens, Troy Brown, Bethel Johnson and Deion Branch were his WRs. I think I'd rather have Marvin Harrsion and Reggie Wayne and Dallas Clark.
Anyways, it's all subjective. Hell, Brett Favre is the career INT leader as well as the career TD leader.
There's a player on New England that deserves more credit then anyone but who doesn't get it (on those Super Bowl teams) and that's Adam Vinatieri.
I understand that the Pats' victories were all really close, but you have to get to that point first.
Imagine if he Scott Norwood'd those kicks, he'd be the Bill Buckner of football !
best qb of all time? i think peyton manning is the best regular season qb of all time. but he's not even in the converstaion as far as playoff qb's go. he's been mediocre in the playoffs. he tries too hard and chokes. it's funny that in 2006 he had his worst playoff numbers and they won the superbowl! 3 TD's, 7 ints, qb rating of 70; yet they win all 4 games.
greatest qb of all time has to be a guy who doesn't put his defense in a bad situation by throwin int's and bad field position. with that as my criteria, the best qb of all time is Trent Dilfer.
