3-Man Scramble At Prescott

Saturday September 14th

Each team must add up to at least
20 index total; Maximum individual
index to count towards total is
13.0. Each team will play 6 holes
from the reds, 6 from the whites, 6
from the blues. Your choice when
you do them. No minimum drives.

Entry fee = $225 per team; includes skins. Afternoon
shotgun starting at approximately 1:00 p.m.
Optional Calcutta and Pari-Mutuel Betting. Indexes
frozen upon entry.

Would they accept 3 golfers who do not have official handicaps?
My father is around a 17, my brother around 10 and I am around 4, so we easily add up to over 20.

Would like for you guys to play in the tourney, but official indexes needed.

Hey we don't have official index either. Shoot in the mid to high 70s me and my partner. We could find a third. Let us know.

Sorry - official indexes are needed. They are easy to get through Golf Canada.

Yes, indexes are easy to get... so easy they can be completely made up just to get in a tourney... makes you wonder why a fun tourney needs them...

$50 to get a Golf Canada Handicap that can be completely made up... Yikes...

Had the same issues at my own club when doing these tournaments. Members might put phantom games to boost there index, and also guys who are not members but have an index with golf canada doing the same.If someone does not have an index but is a previous member I will give him what I think is fair but will surely cause issues if they are in the prizes. No clear cut solution for sure.
A bit expensive having a index with golf canada if you only play in a few tournaments a year.

In a tournament like this one, how do the organizers ensure that groups are following the rules and not cheating when it comes to scoring?

It's a none issue when doing it at our own course since we ask everyone to putt out. (No gimmies) also we hope everyone go with the etiquette of golf of honesty with yourselves.
The only way and we did it a while back was to have two 3 man teams tee off together. A bit slower but can't cheat then.

What kind of a twit cheats in a charity tourney? Can't be that much involved? Sheesh!

I guess some people think others cheat just to get in charity tournaments...

Event went well. 12 teams - over $4000 in prize pool.-11 was best score; one team at -10, three at -9.
