I'd go with Winn Grips, they're awesome.
For tackiness I would suggest the Winn G8 Rave V17-AVS
until they get wet, then they're the slickest grips.
What bNeill said, Winn are super slippery when wet.
Myself, I'm a big fan of Lamkin corded grips.
I love gt..but recently read on golfwrx about people raving about the itomics by tacki mac. They claim to be a new design by tacki mac..but to me..its a rip off or knock off of iomic, who are famous for very tacky grips.
Even the name is a rip off at itomic vs iomic. but...why would i recommend you try itomics? because they are carried by golfsmith and only cost 3.99 vs iomics which cost 16-20 bucks each.
I have no idea if there is a retail store you can go too, so thats a maybe bummer. there is one in toronto (well technically mississauga) but they are available online.
I just got two today to test, one on a driver, one on a hybrid and the guy wet them down with a towel as a test instore and they got even tackier than they started.
Was blown away.
A bit sad that i always regrip at gt..but the price of new decade multi compounds is about 8 bucks reg price at golfsmith every day..but the reg at gt is 13 bucks?
on sale its 6.50..but honestly if you want tacky, try the itomics, even if you have to order them.
I got all white..with a black cap and with my 07 tp black n white tm driver the combo is sick.
shark out.
Is the $3.99 the CDN price at the Mississauga store?
they look nice :

yes it is. same online or in store. only diff is if you order or pick up ten or more, then the price was less. i think 3.79? each. they only charge 99cents install til end of feb signage said.
then it goes back to what i feel is way too high, 3.50 each.
Two of these white grips plus install came with taxes to $11.23.
normally at GT one NDMC grip costs more than that alone...plus install...plus taxes.
ITs a steal.
Last season I used the Winn PCI V17 grips. They were a great dry weather grip that were shock absorbant and tacky. The problem that last season exposed (with all the rain) is that they were not a good all weather grip, they got saturated in the rain and took several days to dry out.
This season, I have elected to regrip my clubs with the Golf Pride New Decade Multicompound grip. It is a corded grip that suggests it performs well in the rain.
I am considering trying to golf this season without a golf, which is a challenge as my hands perspire but I think I will be okay using the Golf Prides.
Bye.

Tour Velvet Full Cord.
Golf Pride Compound grips are my personal favourites. However, the varied responses to your question attests to the idiosyncrasies of each golfer.
Also had Winn grips on mine last year and same here. When dry they are good but if it gets wet(and it did) they are just like handling a fish out of the water.Plus I found that they wear faster than other grips. I have gone back to the New Decade Multi Compound grips.Half price at GT.Half cord and half rubber is the way to go.
Sticky grips attract dirt. Once dirty - no longer sticky. Washing them makes them wet - again, no longer sticky.
If you want a solid grip - go to a full cord. Personally, I am very pleased with Lamkin Pro Full Cord. :thumbsup

Another vote for the tour velvet cord.
Been using the lamkin tour velvet cord for years and love them (I dont wear a glove). This year I am trying the Glof Pride multicompund - hopefully they are similar.
I prefer a soft and tacky grip - my favourite is the Lambkin Perma Wrap but unfortunately Golf Town doesn't carry it. I had a Winn Excel on one of my clubs last year and liked it, so I regripped with that one at GolfTown this time around.
You could also look at the Golf Pride Tour Wrap and GP Player's Sofftie.
Thx all for the replies,
I bougth some tacki-mac pride tour velvet cord on ebay.
I'll let you know how it turns out
I have used the Winn Excel for 3 years now and they are great.......I don't even use a golve most of the time. From time to time I simply wipe the grip w/a little denatured alcohol to clean oils/etc from usage. I put them on myself, very easy to do since they are black w/no real emblam to match up!
Golf Pride New Decade Multicompound....best grips ever!!
Anyone tried the new GP Tour Wrap 2G? It is supposed to be very tacky like the Itomics.
I've read the Itomics can cause blisters for gloveless (both hands) golfers.
