Hi Chieflongtee,
A wise and correct observation, however hitting down on the ball or "ball first" technique requires greater accuracy off hardpan and harder sand.
More bounce leaves less room for error as even a 1/4" strike behind the ball brings the bounce into the equation
causing at worst a horrible skull at best a thinner hit with no backspin .
So imho my thought would apply to 90% of golfers who dont break 100 and even low handicap players would benefit.
they can of course use wedges with low or zero bounce heel grinds and open the face,.any one able to do this probably avoids playing courses with hardpan and hard sand!
