same. funny i worked there the year Clublink took it over. Quite the transformation, last time I was there. Moocho pe$so.
It will be an interesting year as all the bunkers are going to get rebuilt. Some are going to be converted to grass bunkers and others will be redone. They will be doing this one hole at a time. So we may have one course with 18 holes and the other with 17. Keeping an index will be interesting?)))
People are great, course conditions better every year, events are fun. Speed of play before 11am is fast.
so, is clublink worth the $$? asking for a friend. :-)
For myself and the folks I know the answer is yes. Easy to find groups to join at last minute, easy to find people who want to have you become part of a regular group, fast golf, lots of people who like to compete at different levels.
The first game every year is really expensive and all the rest are free)))
Bunkers really need the work. It is embarassing to be a member with such awful bunkers when you bring a guest!!!
So long as the members are happy with the product relative to cost it’s all good. But this is the lowest end private course in the city and surrounding area. Nice clubhouse, the rest is meh. Clublink appears to have completely pulled their funding. Some of these courses have taken a big step backwards while prices continue to accelerate higher.
it seems like they price just below the high end courses in town. so if you want the private feel without the excessive price it seems ok. Also a step up in quality from many public courses.
and pace, well that is a big sell for many people. despite course conditions.
The bunkers have always been an issue. In previous years it just took a good rain storm and they would plug up due to poor drainage. A lot of the bunkers are not in play and they probably should get rid of them and save some maintenance. Grass bunkers a good idea. I think another problem has well over last 3 years has been Covid. Realy could not do much work on the courses and difficulty hiring work staff. This problem is not unique to Greyhawk.
The courses are not perfect but there are a couple of advantage. Number one is the ability to play some other great courses in the Clublink family, and number two all the golfers I have played with at the course have all been fun to play with. Great bunch of people.
