Airport Golf Range Closed - Forever?

:rolleyes Just to save people the trouble of driving all the way out there to find this out (like I did Sunday morning!) ... it looks like they are tearing up the Airport Golf Range to build some town houses.

All I know is that it is closed now and looks like forever. Anyone have additional info?

If this is true they'll make a fortune on the land. It's a prime location other than the planes flying over your head every 30 seconds.

Yep, Airport Golf Range is no more. Monarch Homes bought it and is putting townhouses on it.

I did look for a previous thread on Airport Golfland and must have missed it.

I knew the OttawaGolf community would have the answers.

Longwood is building singles where the range was, and Monach is building townhomes where the old Airport Drive-in used to be...

If you've ever crammed four people in a Datsun at the drive-in, you'll feel right at home at one of the townhome unit here ;)

Does that mean they are closing the Park 'N Fly? Because that is were the old drive-in used to be.

From what the sales rep mentioned, yes..
I think there are several lots for park'n fly, the one adjacent to the range is definitely allocated for the sub devision now.
