I heard they opened - how many holes do they actually have right now? I thought at least two holes nearest the Aylmer Rd. went the way of the bulldozer.
I played there on Sunday morning. We were the first group on the course and teed off at 8:04 am.
As you may know, the back 9 is currently being renovated. So we played the front 9 twice. There is lots of water on the course and even an unplanned lake in the middle of the 8th fariway, right after the rise. Greens still have aeration marks on them. There is also quite a bid of mud to the left side of the first hole and in the intersection between 1,2 and 6.
But it is golf in early April, and they did give us free coupons for play any time during the week in the year.
Just came back from a 9 at Gatineau.
Course is very very wet, large puddles, a couple of seasonal "new" lakes and general sogginess. I doubt the little rain I got made a big difference. T'was nice to hit the new driver but I'm not sure if the rest was worth it. But hey, on the other hand, it's golf on the 3rd of April !!!
$20 for 9 holes plus a coupon for another 9 during a weekday in 2006.
What I understood from the guy at the proshop was that they are basically building 9 new holes with new drainage system. Should be open for play as an 18 holes club again in late summer 2007.
Cheers.
