Okay, well maybe I should have taken some before ever hitting a golf ball, but it's too late for that. As mentioned in my previous post, I'm roughly a 20 handicap, played for 5 years.
My philosophy about lessons was always that I didn't need them to develop my swing, just to refine it once I was breaking 100 with regularity. I've reached that level of play now, and am considering taking some lessons.
First: Would it be best to start from scratch (ie re-do swing etc) or to focus on specific elements of the game like putting, iron play, short game or driving?
Secondly: How useful are instructional videos? I mean, obviously they can impart knowledge of the physics of golf, and generic things like grip etc, but can you actually learn anything practical if you don't have the space to actually "play along" with the video?
Finally: Can anyone recommend a good book/video/instructor for lefties? I am naturally right-handed, but play hockey, baseball (switch hit, but throw right) and now golf as a lefty. I've noticed a lack of information for lefties out there, and would prefer to follow a lesson plan that is designed by and for lefties.
Thanks again for any advice or information.
Dan
