Hey guys I just noticed an anti aliasing option in my Dancin Dogg settings. I'm not sure if I should set it at 16 ( the highest) or disable it ? It was at 16 .What do you guys set it at ?
Thanks,

Well, that should depend on the quality of your graphics processor. You can see the difference if you try the settings through. If I remember well, the buildings and other background looks better if the setting is higher. But a flyover gets more jerky. The graphics processor in my notebook is of a low quality, so I set it to 2.
Thanks Lugo, I have a new 1gb graphics card and found that flyby's and any shot is way smoother with the anti aliasing disabled. The picture is better as well.
Cheers and see you online hopefully soon ???
Where you should notice the need for anti-aliasing is when you have fine patterns as part of the graphics being shown. Things like mowing patterns, fences, etc. In those cases, with the anti-aliasing turned off, you'll often have something called the moire effect appear. Basically it will look like there's a second pattern created on top of whatever was supposed to be rendered. It can be annoying but it's not an issue if you're not running into these fine patterns on your software. The plus to turning off the anti-aliasing is that your graphics will appear sharper.
