I don't understand his point. If you want to hit it close to the pin with spin, stay in the fairway.
Personally I'd much rather see a club penalizes you for hitting in the rough than a rough that is 3ft deep that its still possible to put spin out of.
Its funny, without even knowing golf or how each golfer plays you can figure out who the long hitters are in the PGA by their comments on the new rules.
not me. i love watching guys hit balls in the water and double/triple boggying. i love it when they chip the ball on the green and it rolls back to them.Quote:
